Adaptive Technology

The WVU Libraries provide adaptive computing devices to meet the research needs of persons with visual, learning and other disabilities. Adaptive Technology is located in Evansdale Library, Health Sciences Library and the Downtown Campus Library.

Equipment & Software

  • Pentium computer equipped with text magnification, text reading, and voice recognition software:
  • Jaws for Windows
  • Kurzweil 3000
  • Dragon Naturally Speaking

  • CCTV reader to enlarge printed material
  • Scanner
  • Tape recorder
  • Laser printer
  • Adjustable height workstations
