MountainLynx Catalog
Learn more about MountainLynx, the WVU Libraries' Online Catalog, by taking a tutorial, reading a brief handout, or exploring a brief instructional web page.
Use it to find out what books, periodicals, microforms, and audiovisual materials the WVU Libraries own. It contains holdings for all the WVU Libraries including the Downtown Campus Library, Evansdale Library, Health Sciences Library, Law Library, and Math Library.
Ever lost track of how many books you have checked out? Want to renew a book when the due date is approaching? Want to put a hold on a book that is currently checked out? You can do all of these and more on your own by clicking the Request or Patron button. Simply enter your WVU ID number and your last name to access your personal information and borrowing records.
E-ZBorrow
- If the WVU Libraries do not own the book you want or it is currently checked out, click on the E-ZBorrow button from MountainLynx or from the Libraries home page.
- Log in with your WVU ID number and search the combined catalogs.
- When you find a copy of the book available, request it directly from the lending library.
- If you don't find the book you want, you can get it through the Libraries' Interlibrary Loan service.
New Books
Lists of books the libraries have recently acquired are generated monthly and listed by library, including the Downtown Campus Library, Eliza's Cafe, the Appalachian Collection, the West Virginia Collection, and the Evansdale, Health Sciences, and Math libraries. Books are then listed by call number. A compiled list of new books received in all the libraries is also available for browsing. An RSS feed of this list is available.
WorldCat
Search 20,000+ library catalogs for books and other materials in libraries worldwide. WorldCat contains the collective records of books, periodicals, maps, scores, films, recordings, web sites, etc., cataloged by over 41,000 libraries. Coverage extends to 83 nations, with more than 47 million records in the database. After verifying that WVU does not own the materials you find, you can conveniently order them through E-ZBorrow or Interlibrary Loan.
